Frog Lantern – Aran Wilkinson-Blanc

Aran Wilkinson-Blanc is a Calgary based New Media Artist, Photographer and Filmmaker who continues to confound people by presenting works of paper sculpture. He’s been the photographer at many of the past Equinox Vigil’s.

“My art piece is in memory of my Grandmother, who was guarded with her childhood but would speak with fondness of her days catching frogs and reptiles. I also wanted to bring some extra illumination to the Autumn night to help celebrate the Equinox Vigil, and event that has also, in past years, brought back memories of my Grandmother’s passion for her garden and at times morbid streak”.
