Poet in Residence- Nancy Jo Cullen

The video poems are part of a larger project, titled “Nothing Will Save Your Life”. They interrogate excess and estrangement while engaging the constraint of traditional forms including a series of laments that the video poems are a part of. Much of the project is an exploration of the worrying conditions of modern living and the ways in which grief infiltrates our daily life.

Nancy Jo Cullen has published three poetry collections with Calgary’s Frontenac House and a story collection with Biblioasis. She’s the 2010 recipient of the Dayne Ogilvie Prize for Emerging LGBT Writers.
